Happy Easter with Easter Bargains

Happy Easter everyone,

I didn’t get a chance to video or do the draw for the winner of the House and Home competition today (mixture through feeling it should be a bank holiday and feeling lazy/long lunch etc, going to see a client for an hour and looking after a poorly little goat kid) and am planning a day of painting tomorrow so I’m going to leave it until after the weekend so if you haven’t entered yet and wish to, do go ahead.

If you’d like to snap up these little storage boxes by Greengate which double as Easter decorations, they are now half price (€6/£5/$9).

And don’t forget to check out our other Products of the Day for genuine bargains of quality products too.

Happy Easter, Lorna x

Product of the Day: Masterpieces with Cardboard

Published by under Product of the Day

There is something beautifully plain about brown cardboard and it is not just for boxes any longer.  I have admired this man’s masterpieces with cardboard over on the Scarlet Opus blog and just had to show them here too. Giles Miller uses corrugated cardboard to great effect to create wonderful products and images.  Below is the masterpiece he created for the Stella McCartney flagship store in Paris.

Check out Giles’s website to see his fabulous cardboard creations – clocks, chairs, sofas, lampshades, tables, bags, screens – my favourite are the lampshades and screen – what’s yours?

Product of the Day: Joseph Joseph puts zing back into your evenings

 The Perfect Margeurita
As the dark nights may be slowly creeping in, Joseph Joseph have come up with the perfect solution to add a bit of zing to your evenings. Great ingredients, a foolproof method and quality equipment are essential in perfecting your cocktail. Ensure your Margarita is the perfect combination between sweet and sour by combining an age old recipe and Joseph Joseph’s award winning kitchenware.  Recipe:
45ml of your favourite Tequila
15ml Orange Liqueur
1 Lime
Rock Salt
Ice Cubes
1. Take your Rock Salt and place it into The Orb and crush until thoroughly grounded.
Joseph Joseph hint: Use The Orb’s lid to grind your salt for a neat, hand-held
mortar, perfect for grinding smaller amounts!

2. Fill a saucer with a little Tequila and place your cocktail glass upside down in to the
saucer so the rim is coated in alcohol.

3. Then place your glass in to the salt so an even amount covers the rim.

4. Use your Quicksnap Ice Cube tray to fill your glass with ice cubes.
Joseph Joseph hint: Use The Quicksnap switch mechanism to make releasing ice
cubes stress free in aiding your perfect cocktail.

5. Use The Catcher to juice your lemon and add to the glass.

Joseph Joseph hint: Don’t worry about any pesky pips, theyve got those covered
with their ingenious design to extract only juice.

6. Finally, take your 2-in-1 Measuring Jug and measure out your Tequila and Orange
Liqueur separately and add to your glass.
Joseph Joseph hint: Use the small chamber of the dual chamber design of the
2-in-1 Measuring Jug, allowing for accurate measurement which is key for all cocktail

One final step…
Those at Joseph Joseph urge you to stir your cocktail, serve it immediately, relax and enjoy! Check out all the Joseph Joseph products stocked here at Garrendenny Lane

Product of the Day: Animal Tower Wallsticker

Published by under Product of the Day

I’m going to start a ‘Product of the Day’ post too – sometimes they will be products from our own online store as we do buy things that we love but some will be little gems that I find on other online stores too.

I noticed this on a UK site last week but our very own Irish Mabel and Violet have it too (we’re a bit pre-occupied with height in our house at the moment and trying not to be as our 6 year old has overtaken our 8 year old – in height, shoe size and weight!)
