Competition – Win a Pick It Listing with House & Home
Have you checked out the House and Home website recently? You’ve heard of pinterest I guess and the treasure troves of beautiful eye candy that are there for you to pin into your own pinboards. Well, Pick It is even better.
‘How can it be better than pinterest?’ I hear you exclaim. Well, you see, Pick It at House and Home is a hybrid – you can select products from Irish shops, editorial content from the magazine, create your own moodboards for your home and then when you are ready, you can purchase from Irish shops, supporting Irish businesses at the same time as furnishing your home and purchasing gifts.
The House and Home website has great tutorials, inspirational blog posts, extras from the magazine, competitions and now it has Pick It. All you have to do is register and you can get started on building your moodboards using the House and Home pictures from their news, posts and galleries and the products from so many of the best interiors and furniture shops in Ireland. You can even share your MyPicks on twitter, facebook and google+ and show your friends.
Pick It is free for anyone to use and House and Home are offering one interiors/furniture Irish business a free subscription (worth €487) to a Pick It shop profile where that business can list their beautiful products. Perfect for if you have an online shop as shoppers can click across to your shop to purchase and perfect for bringing a wider audience to your shop if you haven’t got an online presence yet. The site offers geopositioning, social media sharing buttons, a mobile-friendly layout and of course, there will be hundreds and thousands of people using Pick It to create moodboards and as social bookmarking and lots more.
So, how do you win it? All you have to do is be an interiors or furniture business and leave a comment below saying why you would love to be included in the House and Home Pick It. The winner will be drawn at random – I might even video the name being pulled from a hat as I have been meaning to start doing some videoing for so so so long now
Good luck to all – we will draw the winner next Friday. Good luck

Hello! We are new to the Irish market, offering a wide selection of beautiful hand-carved and hand-painted chunky wooden stools and other furniture for kiddies!
It’s about time that the Irish public have access to lovely rustic furniture for their children, avoiding the awkward closing of the playroom door when people come to visit!
I’m on a mission to get homeowners away from those horrible toppling plastic chairs and for that reason alone I would love to be included in the House and Home Pick It!

Delighted to have ‘met’ you now Laura and many thanks for entering. Good luck
Hi. I’ve just recently discovered pinterest & it’s great fun & a little bit addicitive !! It’s great to hear that House and Home have developed Pick It & I think this is a fun way for anyone interested in interiors to interact with local Irish businesses & find out a little bit more about the great products that are available. For this reason, I would certainly love the opportunity for Sienna Home Furnishings to be involved. We are a family run furniture & bedding store based in Waterford city but through the internet and word of mouth, we are doing business all over the country. I think the House & Home Pick it would give us a great opportunity to showcase our products.

Pinterest is hugely addictive isn’t it? good luck and many thanks for entering
Oh pick me, pick me! It would be such a great way for me to get my products out there for people to see and pick from. Thanks Lorna for putting this together. Hope to hear from you on Friday! ha ha!
Hi Lorna, just read about this really great idea.. Our family have a handcrafted kitchen & furniture business in Dungarvan Co. Waterford. We are at present, almost finished our showroom …(which has taken FOREVER!) It is our dream in the future, that part of our showroom would be dedicated to Irish handmade products, allowing Irish craft makers display & sell their wears! A dream I know but wouldn’t it be great….. We are currently updating our website & our latest work is updated on Facebook @Garrett Dillon Crafted Kitchens & Furniture. House & home pick would be BRILLIANT for us..
