Why should you put up wallpaper in your hall? Because it creates instant impact once a person walks in the front door, it looks welcoming and it really dresses the area. Furniture is often sparse in the hallway due to a lack of space and is often limited to a console table or one or two chairs. By placing two chairs separated by a small table against the wall creates the effect of symmetry which immediately connotes a more formal atmosphere which immediately seems tidy and impressive. These two chairs against the Horse Trellis wallpaper in acid yellow on grey would look really impressive in any hallway, creating immediate impact.
I have found in my own hallway that by placing a console table in front of the wallpaper, it means the children don’t rub against the wallpaper as they run upstairs! I have one wall wallpapered (the wall facing the front door) and find that it is lasting much better than the painted walls (which have been painted twice in the 4 years since the wallpaper went up!)

If there is an area in your hallway that creates a small alcove or can be devoted to a ‘reading nook’ or even just an armchair, the addition of wallpaper or wallpaper panels in that area would really turn that area into a feature of your hall.
Wallpaper panels work well either individually or they will co-ordinate with one or more other designs. We stock a wide range of wallpaper at Garrendenny Lane that aren’t stocked elsewhere in Ireland, therefore we can promise you something really different and unusual for your home – whichever room you would like to use it in.
